Oban
Oban is a picturesque coastal town in West Argyll popular with visitors and holidaymakers, many of which return annually to this delightful part of Scotland. Oban, often mentioned as 'The Gateway To The Isles', sits right on the very west coast between Lochgilphead and Fort William with regular ferry trips to the islands from Oban harbour, including the popular Isle of Mull or Islay, and other lesser known islands such as Colonsay and Tiree.
A number of gift shops line the esplanade, and a great selection of shops await along Oban's main street. The quay has two restaurants including an award winning seafood restaurant, while hotels offering tea, coffee, hot and cold meals are scattered about at regular intervals on hand to service your food and drink requirements.
